The IUB UITS User Survey is administered each year by the IU Center for Survey Research. Surveys were sent to randomly selected people at Indiana University,
Unless there is an indication to the contrary, the results shown are extrapolated to estimate the average response of the entire
Some services, however, are used only by certain subpopulations, so results are shown for the appropriate subpopulations. Subpopulations are indicated by FAC for faculty, STF for staff, GRD for graduate students, and UND for undergraduate students. In some cases, some services are used by groups of subpopulations, indicated for example by [FAC, GRD] for services used by faculty members and graduate students. In this case the extrapolated results represent the estimated response were each faculty member and graduate student to be asked their opinion.
Results are shown separately for multiple subpopulations when appropriate. Some questions did not receive enough responses to yield a statistically significant representative sample. In these cases, we present N/A for the average and satisfaction. In a few instances we received too few responses from a particular subpopulation to appropriately weight the responses. In these cases, the subpopulation was removed from the average and satisfaction calculations. In the instances where this occurred we indicate the affected subpopulations with an asterisk (*).
The table below indicates the population and sample size (the number of surveys originally sent out to the randomly selected individuals) by status and total, the number of actual responses by status and total, and the percentage of responses received for each category and total. While the statistics for average and satisfaction were computed based on the response rate for the individual question, a questionnaire was treated as having a response if any of the questions were answered.
